Terms & privacy (preview)

This is preview software. TruthBear is in active development. Things will break, change, and occasionally look strange. Please tell us when they do.

Your beliefs are public and durable. Beliefs, positions, and evidence you post are signed records on an append-only ledger, visible to other users. Treat everything you post as public. Don't post personal or sensitive information — yours or anyone else's.

Data may be reset. During the preview we may wipe or rebuild the network between iterations. Your account and content could be removed as part of a reset. We'll announce resets in the Discord first.

What we store. Your email address and a hash of your password, for login only. Your signing keys are held encrypted on the server for now (custodial); self-custody is on the roadmap. We don't sell or share your data, and there is no advertising or tracking.

Be a decent human. No harassment, no impersonation, no spam. Accounts that abuse the preview will be removed.
